Teens in Motion: A volunteer partnership with the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay and Auto Club South Traffic Safety Foundation

Kick-start your community service involvement by joining us for our Teens in Motion volunteer program orientation!  We will take you through a fun and interactive tour of the volunteer opportunities available to you with the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay and the ACS Traffic Safety Foundation. During this session, you’ll meet some of the TransCare ambulance EMTs, see firsthand the impact of what you can do as a volunteer with the Crisis Center, and learn more about some of the Teen Driving programs available to you. Pizza and refreshments will be provided!

(2 service hours will be credited for everyone attending this event)

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

• Travelers Aid at Tampa International Airport - Help travelers at Tampa International Airport with travel-related problems and information. Shifts are available seven days a week. (AAA Auto Club South supports this program of the Crisis Center)
• Telephone Reassurance Volunteer  - Take some time out of your day to make daily reassurance calls to low-income, socially-isolated elderly and disabled adults. These calls usually are made from our 2-1-1 call center.
• Cell Phone/Pager Collection Drive - A project for groups or individuals. Help children and domestic violence victims in crisis by assisting with a collection drive of used or new cell phones and pagers. Collected items are forwarded to an organization that recycles them; in return, we receive funding to expand our ability to provide services to children who often have nowhere else to turn.
